Over the course of the last month, several of our APDC squads took part in a series of matches against fellow EFL opposition. Here is a summary of how they got on...
U9s APDC
The U9 APDC squad has played two matches in recent weeks. The first of which was an end-to-end affair against Evolutuon Sports. While trailing 3-1 at half-time, some superb counter attacking play saw us score three goals in quick succession to secure a 4-3 victory.
Goalscorers:

Teddy Higgins
Squad : Elliot Straker (GK) , Spencer Anderson, Hudson Hopwood , Arthur Thornley Parkes , Jack Laird , Lawrence Rhodes , George Green , Teddy Higgins, Seth Leeming & James Sadler
The second of our matches was an away trip to face Rotherham. To their credit, the lads put on a spirited display & never stopped running & trying to play football. However, despite two late goals, we were narrowly defeated.
This is the first time the squad has faced opposition of that level and we believe this has been a great experience for them and the coaches.

U10s APDC
Our U10s APDC squad visited Rotherham Utd this month. It was a tough encounter but provided the boys with the chance to test their skills and understanding both in and out of possession.
In preparation, the squad trained really well in possession and improved their understanding of how to bring our opponents in and switch play to attack wide in 1v1s.
Watching back, the U10s used this experiences in several situations during the match. The success of this provided three goals and several other chances to score.
Out off possession Rotherham worked us extremely well but we stayed disciplined and ensure that Rotherham had to try their luck from distance.
Goalscorers:
Layton x2
Ollie
Special mention to Hugo, Alex and Fin who all went close to adding to the tally
With a number of fine saves, Ralph our goalkeeper picked up the Player of the Game award.
