Community Foundation Host First Young Fans Voice Group Meeting

6 June 2024

Harrogate Town Community Foundation's inaugural Young Fans Voice Group, funded via the Premier League Fans Fund in partnership with Harrogate Town AFC, met for the first time on Wednesday 29th of May.

The group is a youth led, fan engagement forum for 12–17-year-olds. The group will look to meet once every half term at the Exercise Stadium with the objective of strengthening the connection between the Club and our young fans, and the wider local community.

"We're thrilled to launch the Young Voice group, a dedicated initiative to connect with our younger audience. By providing them with a platform to express their views and contribute ideas, we're not only nurturing the next generation of fans but also ensuring that our community remains vibrant and inclusive. This group will offer unique opportunities for young fans to get involved, share their passion, and influence the future of our fan experiences."- Hamilton Mattock Harrogate Town AFC Fan Engagement Manager.

The group will work alongside a team of mentors through an ongoing agenda including Premier League and EFL campaigns, match day activations, fan behaviour, building on the Club’s heritage, a new Club Anthem and much more! The sessions provide an excellent opportunity for young people to add to their CV whilst making new friends and having fun.
