Versatile defender Smith joined from Barnsley in June 2019, having progressed through the youth system at Oakwell.
The season prior to joining Town saw Smith impress on loan at National League North side Darlington, with the young defender making 14 appearances for The Quakers.
Smith has enjoyed two successful seasons at The EnviroVent Stadium, cementing his place in Simon Weaver's starting line-up, receiving an England 'C' call up, securing promotion to League Two and winning the FA Trophy.
