Date of birth: 08/04/1991
Joined town: August 2020
Signed from: Wrexham AFC
Jake Lawlor joined Town in August 2020 after the expiry of his contract at Wrexham, where the Yorkshireman had spent the previous two seasons.

Lawlor started his career with Ossett Town before a spell at our neighbours Harrogate Railway where his performances caught the eye of Steve Kittrick who soon brought him to Guiseley AFC.

It would prove to be a shrewd signing with Lawlor helping the Lions achieve promotion to The National League during his near six years at the club.

The six-foot-four centre half joined AFC Fylde on loan in February 2018, before a short stint at Salford City during Summer 2018 preceded his arrival at the Racecourse.

As well as netting against Town during his time at Guiseley, Lawlor started both fixtures for Wrexham home and away against Town this season and is familiar to Simon Weaver.
“I’ve liked Jake for years, he’s a good player and to add someone of Jake’s experience still with that hunger to improve is a real lift.”
“He’s local, talented lad and will do well here I’m sure, getting the right characters in means everything to us.”
