Player Development Centre
Aiding development and providing a coaching pathway to local footballers
The programme is not intended to infringe on players representing their local grassroots clubs but does provide the opportunity for talented players to access extra contact time with professional coaches.
Participants are also given the opoortunity to take part in additional development matches against Football League Academies such as Bradford City and Manchester United.
Our lead coaches are FA Qualified to UEFA A/B license standard with support coaches having a minimum FA Level 2 Qualification, while everyone involved in the coaching sessions holds a fully enhanced DBS certification, an up to-date Safeguarding Children qualification and Emergency Aid qualification.
Ahead of the 2018/19 season it was announced that the Player Development Centre would be split into Elite Development and Academy, details can be found below.

Tuesday 5-7pm (Boys all age groups)
Wednesday 5-6pm (Boys U8/9, U10/11 and goalkeeping)

Over the last few seasons we are proud to have brought local youngsters through to our first team and beyond. Jack Emmett progressed through our youth ranks and is now a fan favourite and key member of our first team squad, while the likes of Marcus Day and Toby Lees have also made first team appearances having progressed through the club's age groups. Young midfielder Rob Worrall was another player shown the ropes at Town and ended up securing a move to Football League Nottingham Forest.
