PDC Take on Garforth and Pannal

1 April 2019

Read how our Elite Development PDC teams got in in recent fixtures with Pannal Sports and Garforth Villa...

Town U10/11s Elite Development v Pannal Sports U11

“A competitive game at The CNG Stadium saw Town edged out just towards the end when, after a tight first half, the game opened up in the second 45 with Pannal scoring first.

“This was followed by two goals in quick succession by Town with one being a great passing move finished by Josh Hayes after a clever pull back and another coming through a great individual goal by Sam Grass.

“Pannal went on to score twice in the dying moments to claim the win, bringing an end to an entertaining game between two impressive teams.”

Town U12/13 Elite Development Team One v Garforth Villa

“Another great performance from our boys with the most pleasing aspect seeing all the work we have done over the months in training, being put into action by the players.

“They played with great quality and scored a fantastic goal through James Rennocks.

“Although Garforth Villa got a equaliser, we continued to play with real tempo and on another night we could of easily scored more goals; overall it was a fantastic evening.”

Town U12/13 Elite Development Team Two vs Garforth Villa

"This was a really positive performance from the boys, it was the first time I've seen them in a game and was really impressed with their positioning and attacking intent.

It was a great game of football from both sides who wanted to get the ball down and play, our lads just need to remember that old saying that you're most vulnerable to concede when you've just scored, which happened twice within this game.

"With all that said, the boys should be happy with the game and keep on working hard in training as the improvements are there for all to see."
